Will Esports overtake actual sports in the future?

With the current advancement of technology, esports is quickly becoming a growing business. The formation of many gaming teams left and right have proven that one could actually make a living off playing online games. Many esports tournaments are being held worldwide with alluring prize pools that are comparable with those of regular sports. Surely esports will soon overtake actual sports in the future?
“The industry of gaming is skyrocketing every second, online games are getting more and more competitive. It is already possible to make a living off playing online games, who knows what the future holds for us” said Todd Frye CEO of GIGABYTE computer industries.
Almost every aspect of esports can be comparable to sports. One might argue sports require long periods of training and practice for the athletes to pull off the amazing feats they do regularly. But one cannot deny that esports also require a high level of hand-eye coordination, reflexes and strategic thinking in order to achieve good results, accomplishing these feats is already amazing in itself.
“I am able to earn money by doing what I love. The money usually comes from sponsors and products that I endorse, like gaming keyboards and gaming mice” said international esports gamer Dendi.

Whether esports will eventually overtake actual sports in the future is still a faraway thought, but what we can say for sure is that the esports industry is growing like never before and we can see a big difference in sports compared to what we see today.

Future City

My futuristic city would be called "Tomorrowland". One of it's highlights is the transport system. No longer would people need to drive or take the bus. There exists transportation tubes that take people to their destination quickly and efficiently. One would need to just stand on a platform and wait for the transportation tube to suck you in and you will arrive at your destination in seconds. The tube travel system is certainly more cost effective and more efficient than a vehicle.

In Tomorrowland, there would be no more labor workers. Everything would be done by robots . Robots are more accurate and can take on heavy workloads unlike their human counterparts. All the robots would be supervised by engineers to make sure they don't malfunction and are maintained well. Constructing buildings and other structures can be finished with ease.

The people of Tomorrowland will have food in pill form. It is convenient, saves space and doesn't make a mess. The pill contains all the nutrients a person would need in a balanced diet in a small and portable form. Different restaurant franchises will be able to produce different flavors of pills so that the people would have more options to choose from.

Most special of all, the people of my city would be able to theoretically live forever using technology that freezes and preserves your body cells. Then whenever people want to wake up from their preserved state, they can unfreeze themselves and continue living their daily lives as if they have never aged a day before.

My Favorite Food ; Poem

Char Kuey Teow, Oh Char Kuey Teow,
What is that amazing smell,
it tastes so good you don't have to tell,
fried with bean sprouts, pork rinds and little shrimp still in their shells,
sometimes there's even some eggshells.

Char Kuey Teow, Oh Char Kuey Teow,
What secrets inside that you have withheld,
taking a bite feels like being cast a magical spell,
so delicious it should belong in a fairytale,
a magical dish every hawker has to sell.

So listen up ladies and gentlemen, listen well,
\what you're going to have for lunch I will foretell,
if you're hungry you should act now,
go out and eat some Char Kuey Teow.

Water

In this vast barren land, surrounded by sand, drinkable water is a luxury to have. This makes my job as a water transporter in this desert all the more life threatening. What is a water transporter? Easy, I transport water across the desert to customers.
Out of all the dangerous encounters in the desert, this one is the most memorable of all. One day I received a special order from a peculiar customer. The person was a hooded man and he spoke in a quiet but serious manner. He told me the water I am transporting today is actually from the fountain of life! The destination is the royal palace at the desert city. The hooded man warned me to be wary of bandits for the water of life is a precious item.
I thought that such a grand task would have an equally grand reward, so I made the decision to accept the hooded man. Just life that, without a rhyme or a reason I quickly jumped into my caravan and took off with the barrels containing the water of life.
When I reached the city, I received menacing glares from brute looking townspeople there. The townspeople stopped me from proceeding. They told me to handover the water of life the king of the palace had stolen. Being the responsible business man I am, I only wanted to deliver the water to its destination and receive my reward. I ignored the townspeople and continued on my way.
As I reached the palace gates, I was stopped again but this time by guards. I stated my business, the guards immediately started unloading the barrels of water. Out of nowhere, a gang of bandits appeared and started fighting the guards over for the water of life. I vaguely caught a glimpse of their faces, they were the townspeople that stopped me just now!
Both parties wanted the water of life badly, I hastily ran away from the premise and found a place to safely hide and observe. There was utter chaos and the barrels started to get damaged. The water of life starts leaking out from the barrels.
During the midst of the fight, the hooded man appeared and stopped everybody. When everyone was confused as to the identity of the hooded man, he pushed over all the barrels thus breaking them and letting the water of life spill on the floor. The ground was wet with the water of life and everyone had their eyes and mouths wide open. It was then, the hooded man revealed himself. He was the king of the palace! I was baffled, why would the king waste the water of life?
The king explained briefly, he noticed an increase in crime rate in his city. To rat out the bandits, the king sent a spy to misinform the townspeople about him being delivered the water from the fountain of life, it was actually just plain water. The greedy bandits after hearing this and immediately fell for the trap the king had set up. They were caught red handed trying to steal the supposed water of life.
In the end, the bandits were apprehended. The king commended me for my cooperation and offered me a job at his palace. Now, I deliver drinkable water to the people of the city, under supervision of the king of course.

Introduction to myself

Introduction

My name is Dixon, and since birth I was born different from everyone around me.I am the rightful heir of the throne of an almighty kingdom known as, my house. Under my reign, the kingdom has prospered and the people remain happy. No one dares to defy the rightful heir and I am always pampered by three meals a day, a hot shower, eight hours of sleep and free unlimited access to Wifi.
But sadly I have to leave my kingdom and embark on a journey, a journey to discover myself for the better future of my kingdom. Now my kingdom is temporarily under the rule of The Queen, my mother. I have traveled across land and sea until I finally reached the sacred lands of Kota Damansara where I will begin my training in the most prestigious institute of the area, Point College.
The journey was harsh, but the destination is harsher. Unlike my kingdom, I am not pampered by three meals a day, sometimes I'm even lucky to get two. Hot showers, no, even cold showers are a luxury one would dream of. Eight hours of sleep is a thing of the past, but worst of all, access to wifi isn't free!
It has already been two months since my leave, I hope my kingdom is holding up. My condition has been improving as I have already gotten used to my surroundings. I start my day by waking up, hiking through the treacherous roads of Kota Damansara under the sweltering hot sun, climbing the dark caves of the emergency staircase to reach Point College and finally the actual training begins. Training is harsh but it is better than training alone for I have met many comrades to aid me on my quest.
I am starting to miss my kingdom, but my return is drawing nearer day by day, I hope I get the chance to see my kingdom again when I return.
